The first smashing release called Blaue Moschee comes by collaborative project Die Vögel, consisting of Jakobus Siebels and Mense Reents who are no strangers as well. Multi-instrumentalist Jakobus has previously recorded albums for Tomlab, Chicks On Speed Records and Karaoke Kalk. Reents is bettern known as a member of the group Egoexpress and operates the Art Blakey Studios in Hamburg where this EP was recorded.
By using the most unlike sound-elements these two guys have created a timeless dancefloor banger that comes with oompah-style brass looped and layered over a stripped-back kickdrum and messes with all received notions of what techno music has to be. Unusual and clever but still pure dance music. Finally someone had the heart to break with conventions!
