Ready For The Fight
Home, Music, Remixes, House, Disco, DnB 4th Mar 2010 // 04:28 pm

I just can’t feel the vibe of the palish original you can listen to in the clip above, but luckily for me The Young Punx deliver also a wide range of different remix-bangers for their recent track Ready For The Fight. And these kick that much ass, I’m just unable to sit down.

The London based guys are a gang of musical miscreants, combining various influences and collaborators to create the next level of mash-up culture music, both original and accessible. At the core of the Young Punx collective is the trio of Hal Ritson, Nathan Taylor and Simon Bettison, who fulfil different roles on stage and in the studio, all the while embodying the electronica that sits at the core of the The Young Punx sound. They surround themselves with an eclectic group who help to make the collective what it is today.

One of ‘em is leading underground dance producer Phonat, who also co-produced the album and chips in his Punkstep Remix. Check out all the remixes of Ready For The Fight via Soundcloud and enjoy choosing your fav.

Paco De Moor

Hailing from a small town in Belgium, this youngster is announced as the best kept music-secret of his country.

Born in the early 90’s, Paco De Moor may have been too young to attend the decade’s infamous rave parties but the glow stick-era that spawned smash hits by acts as diverse as 2 Unlimited, The Prodigy and Rozalla left its mark.

Paco’s hook-laden debut single Morning After seems to be well on the way to become a real burner on the floor. Just check the audio-sample below, grab your own copy at iTunes and tell your friends that you’ve been the first who knew this guy.

Also check Paco’s promo mixtape that should better be renamed in Stomach Massaging Device.

Lebatman

This great French house gem by Italian virtuoso Lebatman already spent some time with me and my mp3-player and now its time has come to attract your attention as well.

Lebatman must be one of those guys who need no sleep, have no friends or aren’t human, cause he’s droping remix after remix, that you can check if you throw a glance at his Fairtilizer page. Massive output aside - Milk Run is simply unbeatable and puts the rest of his tracks in the shade. Enjoy.

Headshotboyz

The Budapest Hustle, better known as (bka) Headshotboyz, pop a new tech-housy remix into our hood. Cuz Hungary’s hottest Mgmt Ektiv supported a ton of great stuff this year it’ll be on top of our giftlist. We dig Headshotboyz’ works, they constantly surprise with workovers of originals, you’ve never heard of and tough beats, combined with lovely clicks. Feel free to grab the dubby remix for fellow Hungarian producer Stephan Olbricht.

What Kind Of Breeze Do You Blow?

The guys of What Kind Of Breeze Do You Blow? are almost there with their first release on Brilliantine Records and because of that their time is fully engaged. But they think that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be having fun and blew some synthetic-melody-elements into King Of Convenience’s “Rule My World” and decided to send it out to a few of the blogs they like to read. We feel flattered!

What Kind Of Breeze Do You Blow? debut EP “Love Of Luxury” will hit selected digital outlets on December 14th and will contain the following tracks of which you can already grab “Love of Luxury” in Lake Heartbeat’s Lake Luxury remix version down below.

1. Love of Luxury
2. The Probe
3. You Analog 2
4. Love of Luxury (Tronik Youth Penthouse Mix)
5. Love of Luxury (Lake Heartbeat’s Lake Luxury Remix)

Sebastian Davidson and Estroe

Here’s the third single from Sebastian Davidson on German house & electronic dance music label Conya Records, a collaboration with Hollands female top DJ Estroe.
Sebastian Davidson released over 40 singles reaching from tech- to deephouse in the past 3 years and is supported, playlisted and charted by many DJs around the globe. Estroe in person already played in clubs like Fuse in Brussels, the Watergate in Berlin or an underground club in Tokyo (ho-hum). Her debut album that features artists like Miss Kittin is in the pipeline and on its way to hit the dancefloors.

This release is called “Swabian Pancakes”, a very catchy house-track in the manner a classic house track needs to be, features a slamming remix by Jorgensen and the track “Wohlgemuth” on top!

Azzido Da Bass

In addition to our Gooseflesh-article of yesterday, we deeply want to share this Azzido Da Bass’ banger with you. To explain what this got in common with GF is quite easy: I Want U features vocals from Digitalism’s Jence who also lends a remix on the track plus a twisted remix from Istanbul’s Gooseflesh. Ha, got it? Grab that snack on Beatport.

I Want U picks up where Azzido Da Bass’ last major single Doom’s Night left off - a floor filling Electrohouse stomp with an added punk swagger from Jence. Fasten your seatbelts, you’ll love it.

Pance Party

As diverse as they are cohesive, the three members of Pance Party began their collaboration upon moving to San Francisco, where they all moved to study music and pursue their dream of rocking out and getting paid to do it. Andy, from Philadelphia, worked for a year and a half as a neuroscientist before pursuing his career in music, and builds his own custom multitouch music controllers. Eric, hailing from the Bay Area and finding his muse in the Berlin electro scene, won the Price is Right and has summited Kilimanjaro. And Ben (more affectionately known as Swardy), a Maine native, once road a bicycle across America, and really, really likes five-dollar footlongs. Together, this dynamic squad produces with one goal in mind – to gather a crowd that puts an emphasis on facial contortion and ridiculous dance moves.

In proof of their skill San Francisco Wundertrio Pance Party just shipped over a couple of new tracks. First up is a remix for Chester French. They’ve been all about their single “She Loves Everybody” which has only been remixed by a handful of artists such as Steve Aoki and the Neptunes. So they put together a slammer for them. Next is their take on The Presets’ “Kicking and Screaming” which is kinda feel-good-electro all the way and should be a great summer track.

TLGB

Everybody uses shortcuts. We won’t exempt ourselves. In future we’ll write our texts only in short headwords with less than two letters. Be curious!

TLGB (The Living Graham Bond) is a London based electro/techno producer and DJ who doesn’t like to repeat himself too much and tries to keep his output from going stale by exploring different styles.

In early May he won the Nightshifters AC Slater remix competition and his take on the track “Hello!” made AC himself saying: “This is awesome. Sounds really good. Completely different take on the original. Hands down the best and my favorite.”
TLGB’s latest tracks are two bootleg remixes. A bassline driven rejig of Jack Penate’s single “Today’s Tonight” which spent a month in Kissy Sell Out’s myspace chart and has been featured on his Radio One show. And a subby chilled out remix of the classic “You’re Not Alone” by Olive, which made us feel very 1997 including all gimmicks. Chck, chck.

Melancholic Afro

Empire State Human

Dublin band Empire State Human worked closely with Wolfgang Flür of German oldschool-electro-pioneers Kraftwerk and comes along with instrumental based electronic music with a retro-electro edge. Their style is a combination of analogue and digital synthesized sound, mixed with powerful rhythms and overlaid with strong pop vocal melodies.

Remixer Rob Kiraly is blessedly more into house and techno and made the “Melancholic Afro” surge ahead with force. Otherwise this track would be hardly worth mentioning - but that’s just my two cents worth of course.

Get the original stuff at iTunes.
