Pellets

We give the floor to a bunch of DJ’s and producers who tell you what they think about the newest EP release of London boy AMB called “Pellet” and send you below a shortened version of Dan F’s great Killer Bunnies remix.

Jelo: “Dan F. Killer Bunnies Rmx. is ill.”
James Zabiela: “great stuff. Dan F’s mix has gnarly bass!”
Deepgroove: “Sound like a winner - big love from us.”
Sasha: “Pellet orig is ace”
Jeff Samuel: “phil k remix is cool, thanks!”
Someone Else: “i love Pellet (Phil K + Habersham rmx). amazing!”
Nick Warren: “wickedness , loving P&H remix”
Alex Parsons: “Wow… Phil K & Habersham’s mix!!!! Will play this everywhere. Like the Original too. Thanks!”
Kraymon: “I THINK the Dan F one is doing it for me the most but I will have to digest them some more. As always Chi doing the fat-core business on the machines of audio delight.”
Trevor Loveys: “nice deep house music, feeling this.”
Danny Bonnici: “Awesome release!”
Chris Udoh: “Dope tracks guys.”
Brian Ffar: “I really like the Phil K and Habersham remix. Very cool tune - creative with a very solid groove. Can’t wait to play it out!”
Dov: “More minimal, tech, glitched out goodness from Chi.”
Phil K: “great mix of melody and twisted tweekiness.”
Matt Flores: “realy diggin the dan f mix, wicked bassline and arrange!”
Anthony Pappa: “Nice track. l will play this out. l also like the Phil K & Habersham Remix.”
Laurent Garnier: “i like the original as well as Dan F killer remix will play this for sure!”
Dopamine: “lovely music! feeling all the mixes. great production all round.”
Marvin: “Hát le a kalappal. Ujra a massziv a Chi! Original és DanF remix tánparkett rengetö, Phil K + Habersham meg a betegeknek, jól! Genial!”
Karl Moestl: “yes - i like theses new ways of electronic music!”
Phil Martinez: “Fantastic remix package. Phil K + Habersham and Dan F remixes will get serious playtime.”
Dan Mangan: “stunning remixes. 10/10.”
Grasshop: “Shocking reverie, eye vibrating rinse! AMB supplies a squirmish travelogue through his lunatic mind, which can be frightening or revealing, depending on the character of the listener. Besides the original one, Dan F comes closer to my ears. Nice pull, a bit more schizo, okay that’s trendy now. The drilling bass is the only thing that reminds me of his glorious touch. Being one of my fave producers, Habersham is a disappointment here. Well beaten trademark sounds, too much of the claustrophobic feel, adding nothing more to the original.”

Got Money? Pay Our Bills!

Throwing money around and spend it like water isn’t really our cup of tea, but these are just dollars and a worthless piece of garbage in comparison to the common European currency. Furthermore it’s not our money. We were invited at Lil Wayne’s and T-Pain’s crib (yes, they share one) and shined with our rowdiness as usual.

After slapping every girl across the backside two times and showing all our bling bling around we were bored of shaking our heads to this fucking HipHop kerfuffle. Fortunately our man DJ Doc Rok was with us, knocked their DJ at a single blow down and did what he does best - transforming boring tracks into doozy dance tracks. Here we go…

THRILLS

A few days ago, two new gems from Seattle’s sunbeam THRILLS slipped inside, we do not want to hide to share. These gentle grown-up effecting tunes are my todays coffee-substitude. While listening to Thrills I always got some feeling like “the hard ways to comprimise the world”. I dig the fastrunning tracks Dev aka Thrills is kicking through my headphones. It is like a hard wind from the front, making your permanent wave to a mullet.

Mediafire: THRILLS - T.I.P. (ORIGINAL MIX)
Mediafire: THRILLS - TESSTAROSSA (ORIGINAL MIX)

We give you some Bonus Information, if you’re around Seattle right now:
Starting on Aug 8th every monthly Saturday Thrills will kill you together with Axcys at Chop Suey in Sttle. If you’d die for relaxing with Ritalin to Thrills more than once a month, grab your stereo every Saturday from 8pm to 2am and steer it to C89.5 FM or go to C89.5 to have The Vortex uncensored. From September to October Thrills is going to have vacation on the West Coast, throwing gang-symbols, taking the beach all day, dropping himself in clubs at night, amongst others together with Turboweekend, stopping in Seattle, LA, SF, Vegas and more.

To complete your Thrills-collection, grab the 2 djs/4 turbtables house mix below, as well!

Medical profession convention in Praque. Fedde Le Grand is whiter than sensation white and if you leap the first four daffy pseudo spherical minutes you get the best house mix I’ve listened to lately.

Sidechains

It’s a few days ago, when we received following footage from Alex Ferrer, who shipped around a mail form the south to introduce his project Sidechains, a new producer from Barcelona.

You can meet a talented fresh, funky, housy, blasting mix of tunes, that seem to be unable to hold still, won’t let you standing frozen on the floor, won’t let you turn down the corners of your mouth and puts you in a great, auspicious humor for the night.

Check Sidechains latest publication “Waiting so long” sneaking around the corner with haunting vocals and a dance-feeling, that offers unequaled opportunities.

Kid Chocolat - Breaking the secret of zombies

Kid Chocolat

If you’ll ever find yourself in the unfavorable situation of running around in a foreign desert of killing mutant zombies, because your pink cadillac ran out of gas, there are a couple of things you should have taken with you while leaving your home sweet home:

A packet of filterless cigarettes, the biggest sunglasses you could find, your hot ass seventies leather jacket … and finally the latest tracks of Kid Chocolat!

Kid Chocolat is the name of a guy from Geneve that creates a completely own style of music by mixing samples out of the past 70 years. What seems to be totally contradicting at the first sight, ends up in a surprisingly stunning sound. Me personally is really looking forward to the upcoming album “Super 8″ which is based on a colaboration with Pascal Greco. Until then we ship over some of Kid Chocolats prior tracks to you.

P.S. uhhhhm…. if you don’t like killing mutant zombies or prefer filter cigarettes, don’t mind. But you’ll definitely never find an excuse for forgetting your sunglasses and leather jacket at home when your pink cadillac runs out of gas.

Hell Is Miami

DJ HELL

Last time I was listening live to Hell it was like “fuck, this man has gone stale!” Tired, unmotivated and lackadaisical he stammered down his set and every children’s birthday party would have been more thrilling. And because my ambition to woo the whole audience to play “hit the pot” or “blind man’s bluff” with me were not very successful, I decided to leave this club ahead of schedule.

Yesterday URB Magazine blowed away all my misgivings by posting a totally insane live recording of Hell at Vagabond (Miami). Even it was an URB organized party and themselves are not sure where this recording came from, they don’t want to hide it and like to share this night with you and us. We’re thankful and Hell is still the bomb behind the tables.

The awakening of spring

Heavy boy DJ S-File from the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen shipped over his new and also heavy mix. We had to order a heavy-duty-truck and 50 strong women to get this hunk out of our mailbox. Three persons were hurt by the daring attempt to watch at the mix’s gleaming shine without sunglasses. Another one falls apart by just standing around although MOVE YOUR ASS! was written in huge letters outside on this heavy package. Don’t struggle!

Golden Cage

the whitest boy alive

Discodust takes us by surprise this morning, with the perfect track for forthcoming springtime.

French producer Fred Falke attended himself to The Whitest Boy Alive’s track “Golden Cage” and serve it up to us on a silver-platter with incredible litheness. This remix makes you feel like a child, taking place in a lousy cardboard box and playing spaceman while everything around becomes nonrelevant.

I just can’t wait until the 25th of March, when Erlend Øye and his band members come to my hometown, playing their songs only for me while sitting in front of the stage, inside of my cardboard-box space-shuttle and absorbing every melody they create.
Oooh yes I’m already soooo fidgety - you can’t imagine.

For download please check Discodust.
