Cavaliers Of Fun

Imagine a one man space odyssey to discover new worlds, new beats, new sounds. Cruising through galaxies of retro synths spinning out huge solos, arpeggios running wild through the space prairies and beats the size of Tyrannosaurus Rex.
Ricco Vitali, the guy behind Cavaliers Of Fun, is piloting a solo space pod to travel back to the 80s on Planet Earth. But in his own private galaxy it’s already year 2112…
We do accept that!

More ‘n more I dive into the sound of Finnish extravagant electro-pop duo TV OFF. And next to that these two pleasant hipsters also catched me with their very own and very gaudy look, that’s kinda candy-explosion plus concept-gfx plus a squeeze of toughness and self-irony.

TV OFF have been busy playing gigs in the UK at The Great Escape Festival, in Tokyo and at the Baltic countries over the past weeks and are now back in the studio to give their still pending first album the last fine-tuning. Be aware and check what they’ve just shipped for sugar-sweet canapé.

The Knocks

B-Roc of The Knocks was that kind to knock us out with two plain perfect dance tracks that’ll get you move your body in a second! Number one is an original of their own and loaded with sounds I never ever thought they could find place in an electronic-music-track. But The Knocks do have a feeling for what matches and if they say it matches, it does!
The second piece is a a brilliant remix of Greece’s singing bird Marina & The Diamonds’ “Mowgli’s Road” which The Knocks turned into a more danceable, upbeat-tending track. Yummy!

Andreas Tillander

When you think of Andreas Tilliander, you don’t really think af pop-music. But when it comes to Morrissey, Andreas is fanatic. So to celebrate Moz 50 year (22 May), Andreas’ mgmt decided to reveal 3 Tilliander-remixes that focus on the melodies. Enter summer with these remixes, that are perfect for dancing on meadows (with tulips in our back pocket).

Vapnet may be Sweden’s best pop band and this is the sweetest treatment we ever heard. Vapnet take a look at the song and realizes that it might as well be an English version of one of their own tracks. And make sure that we hear it as they do. Flutes, xylophones and a tossing beat. Listen and smile.

Kite is Christian Berg (Yvonne, Strip Music) and Nicklas Stenemo (The Moe, Melody Club). Together they make new wave/synth pop in their own special way. They turn “Caught in a Riot” to a duet and brings in something that sounds like a children’s choir.

Swedish electronic producer Håkan Lidbo goes under many names. His moniker Data80 can be found on many compilations, among them some coming from French babies Institibes. Håkan nourish the 80’s in this blipping poppy bon-bon remix.

Priors

Inside the house there’s something going on with this track we cannot explain. It keeps on touching us again and again. Priors released their first song What You Need and are working on an album at the moment. That track is the very beginning of a bigger project and The Fast Life is big in looking forward very to it! Cuz:

# with shake with tha shoulders,
# we shake tha hips,
# open that nostrils wiiiiide,
# pout only with tha lips and
# melt away by a synthiepopopopopop-beam with a great great voice!

Danse en France

Danse en France

In May art pop performance project Fischerspooner will release Entertainment, their third full-length studio album, recorded over a two-year period, and the whole world is waiting anxiously for what Warren Fischer and Casey Spooner have conceived this time. They announce Entertainment as an album aswirl with ideas and fresh sounds, and an electric stage show bridging the worlds of art and pop.

Over the past weeks some new tracks already hit the music-blog-sphere in various remix versions and set tongues wagging. After D.I.M.’s and Beni’s very unimaginatively but propulsive remixes of Fischerspooner’s album-track “Danse En France”, we received a very, very, very, very, very catchy version by Minitel Rose. Danceable dreamy electro-sound at it’s best!

Beski

This is Beski, a solo act from Monterrey in Mexico. His very first remix shot is for John Legend’s peaceful anthem “If You’re Out There” which he enriched with a very suitable smooth electro feeling without taking the original atmosphere off it! He also made a dance edit of the remix that goes straight to the beat!
