Might

Confident promotion of an unkown guy via mail touched our heart in a way our fingers automatically slipped on the keyboard to play this song after first listening reverse. Take along a gleaming tune by Might with more than enuff flair for springtime.

Stay Frosty

Mighty M3lt stepped around the corner w/his latest mix, full of magic-mushroom-beeps, techno-pancake-crackers and launching some acid-rockets @ the climax of it all. Imagine a wild group of reindeers riding a chevrolet w/hooters straight in2 ur bedroom, while u sipped a gin+tonic before sunset. Imagine this reindeers discuss about frontal impacts of WWF-tag-teams, this means a lot of entertainment. Get a sundae w/topping and spin this miks.

Jeuce drops the official rework 4 the fast approaching track almost a week earlier (streetdate: March 3rd). The Joy Formidable
Home, Music, Indie 25th Feb 2010 // 05:12 pm

Need warm indie tunes that guides you through this cold times? Thanks to a friend I discovered the incredibly good The Joy Formidable.
Formed in 2007 in UK out of the band Sidecar Kisses they released in August 2008 their debut-single Austere and at the beginning of 2009 the album A Balloon Called Moaning. Christmas 2008 they gave a free single called My Beerdrunk Soul is Sadder than a Hundred Dead Christmas Trees, which is absolutely the most beautiful and melancholic Christmas song I’ve ever heard. But Christmas is over since a while now that’s why we share their 2009 release Greyhounds in the Slips and my all-time favorite The Last Drop with you.

We also help you planning your weekend: put on your best shirt and hit the road to Berlin. The Joy Formidable and Australian band The Temper Trap are going to play at Postbahnhof in Berlin. Enjoy!

Pilotpriest

It is rumored that the whole music-blogosphere holds out for a new Daft Punk release that impatiently that they already hear the sound of the two robot-guys where Canadian DJ/producer Pilotpriest takes the credits for.
His track Body Double that was mistaken for Daft Punk, is now being officially released as a single. And When you purchase, you’ll get two tracks for the price of one – Joue AND Body Double! If that isn’t a fair deal, I don’t know what it is. Grab it via Beatport or iTunes.

Erik Hassle

Snack this precious remix by Swedish Boot Mafia, consisting of Copycat, Divide & Kreate and Nachoman, for Erik Hassle, which is their second installment in their Swedish Boot Mafia series.

Erik Hassle popped up from nowhere, laying his hands on the runner-up position in the Metro Music Challenge in 2008. That rendered him a deal with Roxy Recordings, which subsequently was transformed into an international deal with Island Records and Universal Republic. His Hurtful gained him a lot of fans immediately. And after the Guardian hyped him - well, the rest is kinda history.

In February 2010, Hurtful was re-released in a slightly altered version worldwide, including the UK. The Swedish Boot Mafia still wasn’t too happy with it and decided to give it the onceover.
