Our favourite dog besides our own Rex The Dog surprises our petting zoo with another free remix. Todays workover for Rokysopp’s This Must Be It comes w/ vocals by Karin Dreijer Andersson again, cuz Rex the Dog recently remixed her original Triangle Walks. Guess what, Rex The Dog is now the official Karin Dreijer Andersson Remix Team, aka K-DART. Poff!
Rex’ work got steel drum in it, that floats the pure Jamaica-techno-feeling, Rex is known for and vocoded Karin to the fullest. You will love it. But let the dog bark for himself:
When we were asked to remix this, we only had to hear the first words: ‘Waiting for a beam to break through here, a chain way* vision all bright and clear’ to say yes. Somehow those opening lines are very beautiful, like something Rutger Hauer might have improvised in Blade Runner (a chain way what now??).
