I’ll tell y’all a secret today: I love to switch all the lights of my room off and let tracks I dig run on repeat for some hours, standing in the middle of the room, thinking about worldshaking problems in my haggard braincells, find worldshaking solutions with my biceps and feel like floating on thin air. This is how I invented Surface, this is how I sold Surface to Microsoft in 2006 and this is how I found a way of upgrading three-fourths of the Third World to Second without globalization of untapped markets, selling souls, without concentrating on diamonds, exploiting natural resources, war and/or human trafficking.

I admit I dig tunes I call on my own “Dreampop”, especially by French kids around twentyfour, juggling with catchy melodies and haunting tones. Digikid84 is one of them, fitting in this category of breathtaking electronic musicians in that century. The latest remixes D84 pitched for Steed Lord and Freshlovers prepossess listeners with a hardly found bliss in these ruff times. Listening to his tunes makes me whisper my inner mysteries: “Come to my place, spin a needle just for me and c-u-t!”
