Adrian Recordings Advent Sunday Mixtapes - 1st Advent

Adrian Recordings invites you and us to celebrate every single Sunday in Advent with ‘em. So we strike a match in a haste now and light the first candle of our Advent wreath here at TFL HQ cause Dmitry Fyodorov, Boeoes Kaelstigen, Printer and Familjen are dropping over.

There hasn’t been much candle music from Adrian Recordings in 2008 so instead of candles, they thought that they should give you a more appropriate treat and asked some of their favorite DJ’s, Mixers, Producers, Bloggers to compile a mixtape with their favorite Adrian Recordings tracks which will be unleashed every Sunday in Advent - 4 Sundays before Christmas.

Dumb Dan breaks the first ground with his 1st Advent Mixtape. We hope you’ll enjoy his work as much as we do and leave you with best wishes for a laid-back Sunday eve. 3 left.

Herr Kaschke

Herr Kaschke appears as a man after my fancy. I utterly became a fan in the past weeks of his remixes. He popped a new one inside, a work for fans of rock-tunes. A work to hang your head out of the window of your car while cruising through your hood and dream of how the acid could work sofd. We’re very looking forward what this kid is cooking in the next days/months/years/decades.

The Disco Is Black Again

The Disco Is Black Again

What comes to your mind after you’ve had read this little text here?

Blackdisco are two giant nerds from Portugal whose love for music and sound made them build a bunker and fill it with loads, and I mean loads of recent and vintage gear that allows them to fool around with sound as they pretty damn please. I kid you not, ladies and gentlemen… these boys rock the synthesizers, the vocoders, the arpeggiators and everything that has a knob or a button in it.

Exactly - “nerds” seems to be a fit and proper self-characterization - buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut we absolutely want you to inhale this fact as a fresh and postive breath of adulation. These two guys are that much out of it, even we’ve had it once in a blue moon.

Check their Myspace and give ‘em props, show ‘em your new tramp stamp with their bands name or just pay their last telephone bill - but don’t ignore ‘em, cause they really lack the knack.

BlackDisco you two aren’t nerds - you’re damn hotshots!

Stereoheroes

Are you hungry?
Hungry for a sunbeam at the stroke of midnight?
Hungry like a sparrow in the park?
Hungry for ruff stuff?
Hungry for beats punching straight into your face, cause some ppl think you look better with a shiner?!

Turn your compass to all cardinal points and steer your figure-headed golden craft thousand miles straight to Stereoheroes’, Mustard Pimp’s and Teen Wolf’s harbor, just to hang out with them and feel some kind of soul while they play their synths live just for you, your ears and your gangmembers. We can’t stop flexing. These tracks from Stereoheroes’ Headquarter smudge our make-up.

Techijo

This kid seems 2 become a quite tough banger. Techijo serves stepless varieties of his stlye, pumping bass into our brains and fighting for the top-position in our playlist. If Kid Tech - how my loose momma calls him - continues this, we think about to scratch his face, full name, date of birth and other ornateness straight on our wrynecks. Montreal, play up!

Napoleon Never Sleeps

Japanese Napoleon Never Sleeps got a new track up in his player, that he loves to share with the world. He calls it a funky banger…two words to catch our attention with. We are very tired this winterdays caused by less sun and temperatures like in the basement of my great-grandmother. But this 4-and-a-half minutes take us by storm to the coast and make us feel like have our sugarsweet feet hanging in the sand, enjoy something kosher to the full and feel like on Venice Beach back in the nineties in the shortest trunks we own.

If you’re cold like us, all you’ve gotta do is: Load the Napoleon, count up and dance!!!

Eagle Boston at Lovelite Berlin

Lovelite

Uhlala. A club inviting u 2 dance and dirty behaviour. Eagle Boston is in town 2 celebrate with Rubin The Cubin at Lovelite Berlin on Saturday 29th, called “A Night Of Evil (Kraut) Disco!”

The description of the party sounds kind of interesting:
“The ultimate evil-desert-disco-experience is happening in Berlin as the mother-space-kraut-ship lands at Lovelite in end of november. Rubin The Cubin (desperate london surftechnopop) have their almighty electropop from Hackney, London. Pet Shop Boys in protective suits who tie Beach Boys onto burning Barbie. Eagle Boston (Krautrockdisko) is speeding its way on the Satan Highway from the New Wave to Krautrockland!”

2 make your brass-asses sweat we share a gem of Eagle Boston with u, proudly presented by the kids of New Judas. And if you can’t hold back your pee of excitement move your aerodynamic body 2 Lovelite on Saturday night 2 end up sweaty and satisfied.

Krusty and Rusty

Who are Krusty & Rusty? - You might reckon, these 2 guys are comic-fans, calling their band and trax to characters of a series, thats name we aren’t allowed to write down, caused by avoiding surreptitious advertising, like our new personal lawyer told us.

Krusty & Rusty pitch real-time housy techno-tracks, until now unbelieveable 2 (in words: two!!) originals, that blew off my fresh new neon-socks and my accurate combed center part to a mohawk. Reading their biography is like living through my own life, a second time. Here’s a little excerpt, you can enjoy it in its fullest countenance on their myspace in huge letters:

“[…] They spent most of their spare time gambling, writing rap anthems that they will never release and fishing wales, they have been one time in Japan where they got addicted to sumo wrestling; but there is much much more: they started producing music in the late 70s while touring with a very famous band, they suddenly disappear in the 80s mainly because of drug and sex addiction. They return with a stroke of luck in ‘92 scoring a major big hit in the UK charts with a happy hardcore track. At the time they were ready to became huge pop star but they split up after a riot in the backstage of a very famous tv show in Poland […]”

Teen Wolf

Our contended lascivious kid Teen Wolf from Vegas pitched the classic banger from Robin S “Show me Love” in Nevada-style. After the latest discussions of Teen Wolf’s work we let you decide, if you pump or dump it. We think it’s a good track to entertain your gang, affording variety, flexing in front of an enemy gang and sing playback.

Max Justus

By now most of you have heard at least a few of the new Kanye West tracks. You probably either love or hate his robotic use of auto tune. This new Max Justus remix of “Street Lights” will make you forget all about what you loved or hated about the original. He takes Kanye’s slow jam and turns it into a dubstep slow burner. Max’s electronics give Kanye’s vocals a new life that makes them feel organic over his glitched out beats. While you have never heard Kanye sound like he does on 808’s and Heartbreaks you definitely have not heard him sound like this before either.

We received a very unusual version of the Kanye West gem “Street Lights” for breakfast and could not leave our hands from it all day. Missouri Kid Max Justus dropped his latest snack onto our table and would love to find his place in your life as well. His remix and his original definitely have what it takes.

My personal opinion I’d like to proclaim - Justus, your version of Street Lights captured me from tip to toe immediately. Would you like to marry my sis? She told me she’s totally into shockheaded guys like you.

The Passive Resistance

Concerning our tough sexy meeting we had last week, The Passive Resistance died to share their kick “Raid” with us, that is - like we already told - some banger to lose your mind, the control over your fine motor skills, your ability to control urine, your sense of considering for other ppl on the dancefloor while dancing, losing your experiences in well-behaving. This one is easily said: a rough gem to beam into the clime of strobe.

Bonus unnecessary information: Raid is the name of my favourite Arab slow-food provider.

Egadz!
Home, Music, Video, Electro, Experimental 24th Nov 2008 // 03:33 pm

Egadz! is a San Francisco-based electro/hip hop/experimental producer who recently put out some cool videos. The first one is called “Music Made With Buttons” and features Egadz! playing the MPC with all his might, that you can grab here.

Egadz! is currently working on a new album. He’ll be playing in San Francisco on December 3 with Lazer Sword and Mochipet at the Puma 60th Anniversary Party. He’s expected to do a few week tour in February 2009 to Oakland, Portland, Seattle, Boise, Denver, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Santa Fe and San Diego.

His music is honest, personal and something easy to relate to. He’s definitely someone to look out for in the electro/experimental music world.

And I can only sign this statement! Egadz! is going deep.
