Hundreds and Thousands

You’ve got to be brave that day. You got to stand strong and brave the elements. 100s and 1000s came back home with 1, 2, 3 OVERWHELMING beeps, that: make you sell all your stuff for no reason, step out of reality and float away on a wave of sensitive beats and glorious melodies, making you feel like riding through wide fields, making you dream all day of sunny days at the beach or warm nights full of juvenile flippancy, making you catch crickets and butterflies for a second, making you be the untouchable one in your street-struggle-daily grind, making you just make something.

Hundreds and Thousands have the might to control your senses like control to a marionette.

Bonus-By-The-Way-Joke: If I would be a rapper I would punch a line with Mary Antoinette in the end or mock at guys with the name Mario or Luigi.

Bonus-By-The-Way-Joke 2: I wait for them making kids and name them Hundredthousands…

Stephen Color and Co

I’ll raise my fist for these young unknown guys. I speak only for myself today. I hate that Katy Perry track, her voice and the lyrics. No one is interested if any girl kissed any girl, except he or she can have a look or take part.

But what Color Stephen & Co.’s (whoever these boys are) made of that track is softly spoken something very diversified, gentle and entertaining. I deeply dig any single part in this almost 7minutes, that even could pass off as a single jingle, has the potential to be single tracks, aka tunes, aka a soundtrack to hang in my hammock on my porch.

He Say, She Say

Ding, ding, ding: I-DAY! Hu? Whats that?! INFORMATION DAY!!!!

He Say, She Say is an indie rock duo hailing from Chicago. Having opened a string of dates for Lupe Fiasco’s and even Kanye West at Madison Square Garden. Pharrell (N.E.R.D.) is a a noteworthy fan. Million $ Mano (who is 1/2 of He Say, She Say) is a well known DJ/Producer, who was also M.I.A.’s DJ. Along with The Cool Kids, Flosstradamus, and Hollywood Holt he helped aid the new wave of artists currently breaking out of Chicago.

So many names in 5 sentences and the tune is a lickable blast, too.
All that is left tonight: Wow, I’d bend over!

From sunny Down Under we received a song that’s really tailor-made for us here at biting cold Tallinn. “As cold as a brass toilet seat in the Yukon” are the words that are displayed on the whole crew’s golden bodies.

Asking me: Is this something you like?
Answering me: Yes.
Asking me: Are you naked while listening?
Answering me: Like always.
Asking me: You ever heard of that boy called Soni Code?
Answering me: Nope, didn’t think so.
Asking me: Is this the Holy Grail in your right hand you’re drinking your juice of?
Answering me: You are Sherlock!
Asking me: Do you know something about this guy?
Answering me: Nope, didn’t think so.
Asking me: Will you ever research?
Answering me: I told you once my whole life might be a research.
Asking me: Would you tell me in a club, that I run around with a blurred eyeshadow?
Answering me: You always rain on my parade, don’t you?!
Asking me: You fancy what you do?
Answering me: Yes.

Rambrandt

I tell you a true story today:

One of my brothers (yes we still say “brothers” to our friends, cause we’re all only children) sat in the kitchen today, when I started to spin this track. He suddenly fell off his chair, stood up, sat down again, fell again, stood up again, sat down on his chair, fell off it, stood up, sat down on his lovely chair, fell off it, stood up nerved the fourth time, sat there a minute, fell off rough again, broke his right hand, stood up again wordless, sat there, dropped off his chair like a loser, stood up again, sat on his chair, that I bought last autumn, rested a second to finally fell down again.

Only because I pushed the new Rambrandt.

Knickerbocker boy Infuze imbibed music from his infancy. Born in Washington DC and raised on the sounds of Motown, Soul, Disco, Funk, Classic Rock, Jazz, and Classical Music, he found his own style in a fusion of old and new sounds. While living in Europe during his early childhood, Infuze was furthermore a professional opera singer. As the grandson of world-famous classical pianist William Kapell, he has also studied classically piano, violin, and composition.

And as if that weren’t enough musicianship, the 90’s were an interesting time for him and put him close to German techno and British jungle sounds. He began writing electronic music at the age of 12 and has continued to produce music of all kinds ever since. After relocating to US for his high school years, Infuze became immersed in the rich electronic music culture of Washington DC while always following hip hop very closely.

We realize that you’re crammed up to the nose with remixes of Lil Wayne - and Infuze also does, but you know as well we wouldn’t post about this one if we wouldn’t dig it. Check it.

Mr Gaspar

One of our most precious little diamonds from overseas, aka from LA, also know as Mr Gaspar, an aspiring lucky gem in remixing and electronic offspring scene headed over 3 tracks to share. This time, many days after sending these gems, we want to prepare a controlled post:

Track 1 (Life Is Boring)
One of Gasp’s latest own tracks making you feel like coming home with a supersoft gentle feeling and in a style like dancing back in your younger years: disinterested to your neighbours, the way you look like and all night long. Like a statement nowadays to all the ableton-remixers, appearing unable preparing own trakks as well.

Track 2 (Basshunter Rmx):
Don’t want to lose too many words: This remix is loose, this one is a jewel.

Track 3 (Lil Wayne Rmx):
Another Lil Wayne Remix? We heard the “blogosphere” is sick of Lollipops?! We don’t give a Fckacdasohk. This remix is a remix you definitely not recognize the original in it and you want to grab this with all of your senses in a dark night in your fast car enjoying the fast ride with a fast chaser in the back and a fast pet on the backseat. Why not cheering to anyone you meet and whoop it up.

- some really funny guys put some salami in your cd-player
- finding a message of your girlfriend telling, she´s breaking up with you, which you can´t explain cause you´ve got a blackout,

…this might be the right background music.

Our Italian warhorses Amari Night Members Club refresh us with a new remix… from the underground to the dancefloor. I have no idea what the lyrics are about because they trip over in full speed and moreover I don’t master any Italian… is it Italian at all? But the point must be about THE ONE THING!

Hummm? What may Marta Sui Tubi have imagined? Chewing bubblegum with your best friends? Singing the national anthem of your country totally blotto? Planting sour cherry trees on the motorway? Please tell us, we like to know! We’re totally naive and overcredulous!

We give the floor to a bunch of DJ’s and producers who tell you what they think about the newest EP release of London boy AMB called “Pellet” and send you below a shortened version of Dan F’s great Killer Bunnies remix.

Jelo: “Dan F. Killer Bunnies Rmx. is ill.”
James Zabiela: “great stuff. Dan F’s mix has gnarly bass!”
Deepgroove: “Sound like a winner - big love from us.”
Sasha: “Pellet orig is ace”
Jeff Samuel: “phil k remix is cool, thanks!”
Someone Else: “i love Pellet (Phil K + Habersham rmx). amazing!”
Nick Warren: “wickedness , loving P&H remix”
Alex Parsons: “Wow… Phil K & Habersham’s mix!!!! Will play this everywhere. Like the Original too. Thanks!”
Kraymon: “I THINK the Dan F one is doing it for me the most but I will have to digest them some more. As always Chi doing the fat-core business on the machines of audio delight.”
Trevor Loveys: “nice deep house music, feeling this.”
Danny Bonnici: “Awesome release!”
Chris Udoh: “Dope tracks guys.”
Brian Ffar: “I really like the Phil K and Habersham remix. Very cool tune - creative with a very solid groove. Can’t wait to play it out!”
Dov: “More minimal, tech, glitched out goodness from Chi.”
Phil K: “great mix of melody and twisted tweekiness.”
Matt Flores: “realy diggin the dan f mix, wicked bassline and arrange!”
Anthony Pappa: “Nice track. l will play this out. l also like the Phil K & Habersham Remix.”
Laurent Garnier: “i like the original as well as Dan F killer remix will play this for sure!”
Dopamine: “lovely music! feeling all the mixes. great production all round.”
Marvin: “Hát le a kalappal. Ujra a massziv a Chi! Original és DanF remix tánparkett rengetö, Phil K + Habersham meg a betegeknek, jól! Genial!”
Karl Moestl: “yes - i like theses new ways of electronic music!”
Phil Martinez: “Fantastic remix package. Phil K + Habersham and Dan F remixes will get serious playtime.”
Dan Mangan: “stunning remixes. 10/10.”
Grasshop: “Shocking reverie, eye vibrating rinse! AMB supplies a squirmish travelogue through his lunatic mind, which can be frightening or revealing, depending on the character of the listener. Besides the original one, Dan F comes closer to my ears. Nice pull, a bit more schizo, okay that’s trendy now. The drilling bass is the only thing that reminds me of his glorious touch. Being one of my fave producers, Habersham is a disappointment here. Well beaten trademark sounds, too much of the claustrophobic feel, adding nothing more to the original.”
