Chewy Chocolate Cookies

Leave some space in your belly for this pastry: It is so sofd. So gentle. So crispy. So yummy. So chewy. So fetching. So so so. So less is so more. I dunno what exactly this is. Or why it’s like someone is breathing into my neck.

But Chewy Chocolate Cookies layed down his hands on Dj Mehdi’s “Pocket Piano” with such a tenderness, it made me closing my eyes and starting a trip into the night with all the kids of my youth. Maybe it’s just me, but i think it is golden. And if it’s just me, I don’t care. Then I got it for my own. If it’s something for you, then you’re with me.

Do You See The Train Coming?!
Home, Music, Electrotechno 30th Jun 2008 // 07:36 pm

Dmitry Fyodorov

Dmitry Fyodorov is running like a clockwork. He sent us his latest track of the 29th a month, in a special manner of speaking the June Issue.

We hardly love to grab his harder techno tunes appearing like oversized machines rolling through the Taiga and scaring away all the deer and chipmunks. If you support confusing beats and a bass kneating your back, shout out loud to the Fyodorov’s Further! Further! and invite them into your house, if you dare.

This is the second installation of Dmitry Fyodorov’s special theme series celebrating some great landmarks of time and the spirit of keeping it on the wrong side of train tracks. “Anti Cimex” tells the story of when the day dreamy, night living transformer Getsuei meet Strelnikov and his red train and they form an alliance to take over the world by train.

Trash80

Trash80 initiated his addiction to computer music in the summer of 1990 - about the same time his interest was sparked for the opposite sex. Coincidence? Probably not. The beauty of it was that he recognized this obvious connection early on and decided to use his love of composition to gain the interest of an unsuspecting female audience. In response to someone who once brought up this connection, Trash80 replied, “Its not about getting girls man, its about my love of music and getting dumped for it.

Dive onto the dance floor with a hybrid heart of NES bleeps and heavy beats. Trash80 has made his way back from exile with his long over due second EP “Icarus” – A modern chip-rock-techno-electro dance excursion. Push, climb, bite, crawl your way though the super galactic interstellar network of consciousness to rediscover one of next year’s hottest releases to date.

Our man from the eastcoast DLake finally did what SOMEONE had to! He wanted to try his hand at an anthem of a track that gets everyone up and singing along! “hey I’m a DJ that plays to the crowd, nothing wrong with that right?” Booyakasha, of course nothing is wrong with that!

So DLake gave the 1978 Village People classic Y-M-C-A a paintjob and put it into 2008 surely to become a summer banger in the clubs! It might be a tad bit gay, but everytime he drops Y-M-C-A at any party at 2am - the whole crowd, even the cool wall flower kids, are putting their hands up and singing these lyrics. Shows to me that DLake must have done a good job by editing Y-M-C-A!

It’s one of a handful of tracks from his forthcoming EP “Bmore Of a Hipster v2.0″ that will be put out next month.

Party Time 2000

Latest tracks of Chicago´s Party Time 2000 have been a guest on my drive for a couple of weeks and I cannot understand myself why I´ve been hiding this for such a long time. Maybe I´ve been too busy with my mail crash and forgot stuff that has been popped in before. Maybe I am an itiot.

Anyway I tripped over the Pt2000-folder today, dragged it into the playlist and was hardly impressed what hidden lovelinesses had settled there. Especially PT´s mashup of Peg Roussels heartwarming beau directly opened my heart. It is a soft slow version, more sth for dining or hanging in the lounge of somewhere with someone you love to lounge with.

I don’t know why but I got the feeling, that Party Time 2000 is sending a personal message to a special person through every tune.

Munk

Discodusts from Germany hooked up 2 new glittering remixes for Munk’s “Live Fast Die Old” from Ed Banger All Stars and Dj Amazing Clay.

2 different styles of workovers, one in old EdBanger-manner with fresh new springlike feeling and the other one from the baile-funk legend himself with beach-flavour to put your thongs on and your socks off. Grab them below and if you prefer supporting some artists, buy Munk on Beatport or Juno.

Kid Color

Kid Color caught me with his Hello!
Naawww, it was more like Rums, Drscht Drscht , Yieks Yieks and Ey Ey Ey.

Mail told me he is a big buzz in Chicago right now, but we don’t give anything on such words, cos we can’t see for ourselves from here in Tallinn. We “just” got about 20 degree celcius, but this guy from Trans-Atlantic makes us take our shirts and pants off to step upon the beach naked and catapult the girls, that hang around there. And maybe our genitalia.

That week Kid Color had some shows with Flosstradamus, so if you’re a Chicago-based reader you’ve got to keep your eyes open to catch them both the last time together on Saturday night at Sonotheque.

MediaFire: Kid Color - Phoenix B-O-O-T-A-Y (Daft Punk vs. Bangers & Cash)
MediaFire: Kid Color - Digital Pu$$y (Daft Punk vs. Bangers & Cash)
MediaFire: Kid Color - YO ZongaMAJESTY! (Yo Majesty vs. Zongamin)
MediaFire: Interpol - Obstacle 1 (Kid Color’s She Can Readmix)

If you’re a deeply ruff guy and wear hotpants, why not grabbin a mix from Kid Color?!

Dj Headburn

This guy seems to come from somewhere nearby to where we are heart-based, have been heart-based or were born, before moving 2000 kilometres away, straight n.o.r.t.h.e.a.s.t.e.r.n.

Headburn was never too tired sending us mails with an endurance, we first thought he is a stayer/stalker or does got no feeling when it is time to stop contacting ignorant kids and second that it is time publishing sth about this young Dj and stop our local patriotism with Wighnomy Brothers and Douglas Greed to open our eyes, what else is going on over there.

Headburn is not assimilable with these guys the line above, cuz he serves harder eletronic delicacies, grunting basslines and rancid oversteered dirty melodies, like we dirty kids from the street love it. These tracks are sth tekknofans would freak the hell out of their bodies. It’s very good to know that my heart-base is not only sinking in the bog of minimalism.

Thank that quite young (15-19yrs) for never stop stressing us: We got no label, yet, but we would give that boy a deal. Take along his originals, we deliver his remixes next week. Come back, when you d-i-g-g-g that g.u.y.

Coin Operated Boy Jacks Your Body pt 2

Coin Operated Boy

We got him a couple of weeks ago, introducing some fine tracks of Coin Operated Boy on TFL.

Today he fed us again, with some hot new electro cuts to share with you for your enjoyment. He has been working with some amazing artists, played some crazy gigs and got some loving reviews.

We’d love to follow his way of progress, cos these 3 new gleaming gems, he headed over, are pure blasts for soundsystems. I hardly dig those chopped rough electronic beats Coin Boy is handling with and punching into faces. “Ira Ira” is from 00:00 to 04:41 an acquaintanceship, I do not want to miss from first hearing! And “Harshy Tasty Beats” is pure rave I haven’t heard for a long time in such a glorious quality. We are heartly curious what this boy is cooking for supper next time.

Mad At You

Hot Pink DeLorean shared a new remix with us and a vast number of other music blogs to get the ball running for their latest workover for The Glass’ “Mad At You”.

First up the business and quoting a msg from The Glass for The Hot Pinks:

“So we were on the cover of the national Macedonian Newspaper 2 days in a row because of the artwork for the single (we scanned a Macedonian Valium package, and so are changing the art) , we were going to do a round of blogging to publicize this hilarious fact but I guess you guys can reach out to your contacts as is with the REMIX”

Second is the fun: take the pills, be a German chav, race with 128 kilometres per hour (~80mph) in your Opel through localities and make the head wind blast your hairdo! Pull down the window and let this hustling soundtrack be your only friend on the road! Don’t forget to scare grannies and stop for young girls to pipe, like real Germans.
