Carlini Pitches The Kills

Remember Carlini?! Remember Carlini banging Ben Mono?!

This time Carlini suprises the spring with a remix for Londons The Kills, washing the “U.R.A. Fever”, crashing onto the street with a canny bumpy beats, a weird pulse to dance to, but definitely a piece of jewelry to ride to work with. Or go fishing. Or hunting. Or lumberjacking.

Dmitry Fyodorov

It’s the time of Fyodorov. Day 29th gone by (the date Dmitry hitting the street with a new track every month): Dmitry and Fyodorov run like a clock work, punished some beats, some snares, some dirty distortion and some sofd breezes to another smash, that blows your hair off your head.

It’s the stormy, harder way of hearing melodies, be prepared for a knock-off. With this track you can hail anybody or anything whose or thats name starts with Ddolphins, daddy, Dolph Lundgren, Dennis, deers, Dmitry himself, Dominican Republic, diphtheria, diet beer, Discodust.

Jack Tennis Private Lesson: How to date best
Home, Music, Electro, Remixes, Romantic 28th Apr 2008 // 07:48 pm

Jack Tennis

Imagine your name is Ian, you’re single, living in a messed up flat together with your former best friend, called Spike, just because he has a beard like Jonze and today is the day to finally introduce your new beloved girl to your way of living.

May you cooked, may you cleaned all that dirt, may you took a shower and arranged everything in a complete flurry. You think about serving which vine, red or white? Sparkling? Dry? Sweet? Does she prefer nonalcoholic? Is she veggie? The moment where to think about: Would you come along without meat or just eating beef thievishly? What will you say at the door? Hug her? Give her a kiss on the cheek? On the forehead? On the hand? Give her a handshake? Give her 5? Kneel down and kiss her ring? Should she kneel down and kiss your ring? Better drug up yourself before and talk about “your former relationships, face-carnival and stress-incontinence”?

One of the most important things for a cushy vibe, as you could imagine, is the right tracks in your stereo. A record player has its pros and cons. Pro: Vinyl is always very charming and if the conversation runs bumpy you have a reason for standing up and loosen the situation by doing something different and let her think about what she said and should say. Con: If you’re successful, impress the lady and come closer there’s always that break after a few minutes. Or you get tensed when the record starts jumping. So why not preparing a tracklist, a burned cd or a mixtape: on the one hand you could choose dolce tracks and on the other - if the whole evening is a success - you got a perfect gift for your half-year-jubilee, you know with the words “Hey babe, you remember that sound where everything started?!”.

What we want to give you on the way: 2 tracks that might find a top place in a tracklist like that, remixes she might not know, have not heard yet by Berlins enchanter Jack Tennis. The Tellier-workover is a self-propellent jewelry, Jack gave it an absolute “black” smooth feeling. The second one is a pitching of Neonman’s “Nightclubbing”, 5 gentle minutes reminding a little of a voyage to the beach in the 60s.

zShare: Sebastian Tellier - Kilometer (Jack Tennis Remix)
zShare: Neonman - Nightclubbing (Jack Tennis Remix)

Tellier says to his “Kilometer”:

“It’s a representation of the endurance and sexual stamina. This song is cold and German sounding, because that’s my vision of the sexual, German way.”

Hum, why not?! Give yourself a try…and if you become engaged send us the tracklist of your mix-cd, we hardly want to publish them!

Flufftronix

Go kid, get the Indiana style of waiting on a bus stop! The Indiana style of cruising around on your flossy bike and smashing shopwindows, of praying in a church, of relaxing with your mother on the couch, of heading over to a party with nothing on ya, except of your silken shorts and a new haircut, of totally skewing your sweaty body on the dancefloor together with your gang. The Indiana style of making the most of nothing, of preparing breakfast, of flexing your muscles, of stepping up jumping back, of feelin what you don’t, of blind-dating a shark, of feeling an unexpected climax, of praising and yelling what it’s all about in a hysterical sovereign moment at 2am in a crowd of dance-crazy hardliners who gone crackers.

Michael “Fluffy” Flufftronix punched a blast of 2 explosions into your room, reflecting the feeling of a vis-à-vis with a white shark and one of the greatest workovers for Dead Prez’ “It’s bigger than Hip Hop”, so I would really write a hundred sentences in a row, that I have to catch these tracks live. We’re so addicted, but hard ruff Miamibasslines and a soft gradient mood in a track is hardly irresistible. And Flufftronix seems to have golden hands to pitch heaven on the dancefloor into 4 minutes!

Mediafire: Flufftronix - Shark Attack (Ruff Cut)
Mediafire: Dead Prez - Bigger Than Hip-Hop (Flufftronix Ghetto House Refix)

If you’re a lover kid (what we highly recommend) go, get the high-quality version for a little fund on Fluffy-Blog via paypal or get it from Snocap on thee myspace page to raise his booking/promotion company Rad Summer. Everybody should deeply wish to have that boy pressing Ep’s forever!

You are welcome to share this boy, these new bangers, his “old” tracks with all of your friends, he’s the reason for burning unique CD’s for beloved persons again, they should cherish their whole lifetime.

We speak the truth

Okay, it’s time to confess. We all got hard jobs and are hard, rough, tall men and women. One of us is a professional gymnast, the other a foot-model, we got authors spending their time on working for biggest shipping companies guaranteeing safe transports of diamonds, another girl is the leader of the cockfighting scene in Middle Europe, we are freelancing copywriters of all social levels. In our spare time we love to show our cracks, placing unbelieveable idiotic beds, starting trouble in Over-60-Clubs and earning some cash by selling used bullets and tickets on the street!

But there’re little moments where anybody of us gets weak, where anybody is asking himself for his place to be, for his addicition in anything. To live through this situation the one buys Australian parrots to teach them speaking, the others pass out on any event they can, being too old for an underaged affair, but still stealing all that unnecessary stuff they do not need. You know, that kids palming some good vinyls of bad filthy new-rich djs, even they got no record player home.

All what is left today is, that we got tons of questions to ask you:

1) Is anybody reading that stuff we’re writing?
2) Or are you downloading nerds hunting for the links cause on any other page the files were lapsed?
3) Should we tell our mothers what we’re doing?
4) Do you trust us?
5) Should we finally show our faces?
6) Is there some place in this ruff fast time for showing feelings and doing what we want to do?!
7) Do you forgive us for blogging about all that nonsense we’re loving?
8) Do you trust anybody?
9) Should we reveal our true age?
10) Do you think we’re illegal immigrants?
11) You’d love to have some postal adress to blackmail us?
12) Do you think we’re in the higher game? Or still too underground?
13) Are you interested in meeting us live to check out our streetcredibilities?
14) Should we explain what a real underground is?
15) Do you got an Australian Parrot? Is he talking with you?
16) Should we pay our bills to the industry?
17) Should we stop writing? Just posting the links to feed the crowd speechless?
18) Do you want us to write in more than one language?
19) Do you love to have a postal adress to write us love-letters in more than one language?
20) Do you think we sold our souls?
21) Should we go to hell for what we’re doing?
22) Do you want to see our cracks while placing exorbitant beds on old horses?
23) Do you think our life is just a research?
24) Are we underaged shoplifters for our older friends, even we know that they ain’t our real friends, that they just take advantage of our springlike innocent boyhood?!
25) Are we the two of “This Weeks High 5″ ?
26) Do you think we got a life?
27) Do you believe we’re just one?
28) Do you think we’re pro-graphic-designers and/or hardline journalists!?
29) Do you fancy that I needed over 3hours for this text?
30) Do you think we’re drugged up and crocked all day?

To get more peeps on the post we’re going to post some high ranked mp3s for all of that blog aggregator visitors. For proving our fondly intents I’ll write : ) and <3 and ; ) and LOL and ROFL and no diggity. Check them tracks, they're superhot even without writing a million-letter-long lines about 'em. We hope the artists pardon us!

The most popular project of which he kicked amongst others remixes for Bloc Party, Depeche Mode and Justice is probably Boys Noize. His trademark - crack the whip and don’t make concessions!

Last week he started a real drumfire of hard knocking beats and volleyed ‘em directly into the thrilled audience at the Belgian eletro-music festival Polsslag and nobody avoided of this, quite the contrary - they pleaded for more! This might be nothing for persons with cardiac insufficiency or aberration. I Push My Fingers Into My Eyes

We never wrote explicit about ‘em but we’ve got a front-row seat since they started to spin spinners, knurl knurls, control controllers and to switch every switcher they can get between their gluey fingers. They spent that much time behind the tables, they melt into and gold-plated cinch-sockets sprouted on their back of the heads. To become version 2.0 they additionally remixed Slipknot and put more brawniness into than these squallers in disguise ever could.

Techno Crew mixes everything with everything - miami bass with Berlin ghetto house, salt with candy, nitroglycerin with mountain flour, Greenland with Australia, Spiderman with Badman - and what you get is everything you ever wanted, if you like it a little abrasively and dance able, too.

Santo Angelo

It smells like almost a dozen of Foals Remixes crushed into our mailbox…so should we better call ourselves TheFoalsLife?!

Today yet unknown Vancouver boy/artist/producer named Santo Angelo introduces himself with a bow and a curtsy, leaving a mashup behind with some rising dramaturgies during this 3 and a half minutes and some nice blending on the vocal of “Electric Bloom”.

Me, personal, is diving more into his own track “Perfect Plan”. A soft floating bass, haunting discreet synths and some distorted elements consisting of vocals making that tune you putting your teeth on the edge. It’s not the cleanest, not that astonishing smashing beat sounding like anything else on the players currently, but maybe just because of these facts this track is a darling you should hold tight, take care and enjoy for your own pleasure. We dig it, it’s a lover being played while dancing alone!

Spitzer vs Sally Shapiro

Spitzer are coming down to earth with a brand-new banger, a brand-new spaceship by remixing a track for Swedish Disco Princess Sally Shapiro, that is in the end more a new Spitzersky than a remix in usual minds. The extraterrestrial object called “Time to let go” is going to be on Sally’s new (remix) album titled the Remix Romance Vol. 2 and will released on June 17th. The workover comes around the corner very relaxing with a beautiful beat and a beautiful melody, perfectly fitting together, like a couple of lovers. The supersoft vocals by Sally sweetens the pie!

Streetlife DJ's

Me who is concerned about your education would like to take you on a journey through the geographic facts of London City. No, guys it’s not only about listening music and reading funny articles from strange people about even stranger artists. Life is no bed of roses!

So here are some facts about London: London City has got 7,2 million habitants and there are 500 languages spoken. The world’s first stoplight was built at the House of Commons 1868 (by the way thank you for stealing our time, Queen). London is popular for yummy meals like beans on toast. In London having sex on a motorbike is illegal. But actually London is one of the most important European capitals. Especially for the electronic music scene.

On my voyage on Myspace, I stumbled over the profile of two great DJ’s and producers that have built up quite a reputation. You might know them from their Essential Mix, which was one of the hottest mash-up-mixes I´ve heard for quite a long while. For the Streetlife DJ’s, aka Stewart Rowell and Louis Gaston, there are no No-Goes. While mashing up contradicting music-styles, they are serving you the best mixes which only shows one side of their high skills.

Their upcoming EP “Gunn Crime” will be released on Kitsuné next Monday. It’ll definitely be an impact to all lovers of electronic music and fuel in the clubs. But these guys still have something up their sleeves. On their own label Street Beats there will be a three track EP. The Streetlife DJ’s, gave us the chance to offer you one of these tracks and we immediately fell in love with.
For all the collectors: There will also be a limited edition of two smashing remixes (only 500 copies) - and one of them we’ll ship you right below.

Next time we’ll take you on a trip to the loveliest sites of Berlin city including the wonderfull Oranienburger and Kottbusser Tor.

Home, Music, Electro, Remixes, Techno, Mix 21st Apr 2008 // 09:02 pm

Googling for “Magnum 38″ I found some weird discriptions of what his music should be like. Altogether it was something like: sounds a little bit like Apparat, but still some kind of T.raumschmiere with a touch of the Rolling Stones, which also could be metal. Smells like techno-music and looks like something I can’t really identify but might be a zebra. Well…. uhm… thanks!

For me he actually sounds like running for your life after kicking asses in Neukölln! - Like driving with 150 km/h through your city, sliding around while you’re playing Knight Rider! - Like taking your broken TV, throwing it out the window and screaming psychopathic phrases in a language only YOU can understand! - Like getting up in the early morning after a long long night, still having the taste of whiskey on your sticky tongue and trying to compensate your sleep with a package of coffein pills till your brain cells dance samba!

Magnum 38 is one of the finest artists of the German electronic underground scene and belongs to the Berlin based label Shitkatapult. His last LP “Old Europe Strikes Back” is pushing, braintwisting and to a certain extent indefinable because so eclectic. So better get your batteries charged for the following scalding hot live-mix, that makes you dither like a pokemon on sugaroverdose.

We’re pleased to present a stunning tribute to an all-time classic to you. Mark Knight and Funkagenda have lovingly crafted their own remake of Laurent Garnier’s pathbreaking “Man With The Red Face” - undeniably one of the hottest records of all times right now.

Given the ultimate seal of approval from Laurent Garnier himself, this new version faithfully retains every magical nuance of the legendary original, and adds the dynamite touch of this Toolroom twosome who are at the very top of their game. With cascading explosions of steamy saxophone and those hypnotic, entrancing melodies that have enraptured countless clubbers
