The Fire And Reason

The Fire and Reason from NYC are down with their first record release, combining a mixture of rocking flavour and beepy tunes, with a powerful strong female voice, that seem to have the power making the audience scream nonsense and catch single ones losing their will, get naked and rub themselves on the counter.

You can grab it for free if you love to have the alternation and your mind is free for some guitar tunes commanding the Ep called “Shut Up, Dance”. You will be rewarded with 5 blistering new tracks, plus The Toxic Avenger Remix of their song “NME”. The new single “Sugar Koma” is sure to get everyone dancing and singing along “Ooh your candy’s right for my apetite tonight”, a lusty track about eyeing that special someone at the club and whispering in their ear “it’s dangerous what you wear tonight…”

Johnny Neon
image: Ross Garret

I admit: I never thought about South Africa when thinking about music and was never curious enough to check up on my own, what they’re doing down there. Great, that a boy named Ben Rausch shoved over a mail to share his Synthpop tunes with us.

His band Johnny Neon - playing analogue synthesizers - are blessed with extremely comfortable voices sharing with the audience and crash into your ears with beautiful tunes, appeasing the hardest hustlers and strongest weightlifters. These tracks are a gem for daybreaks to get up with a smile and gleaming sunbeams around your head.

Btw: Did somebodys grandpa sold all his holding, did transfer all his stocks and took a no-return-ticket from Germany to South Africa, just because of the overwhelming biota? Is it true that many players dream of emigrating to South Africa, living on the southest edge of the world, the Cape Agulhas? Do they play instruments the other way round down there in South Africa? Did I say South Africa too often?!

Dmitry Fyodorov

Stockholms beat aggressor and assassinator Dmitry Fyodorv is an import we highly recommend. We love his groaning propulsive beats and adorable tunes. Prepare yourself for nothing soft, no pity, nothing to rock your boy to sleep.

Fyodorov is publishing a track every 29th of a month. Single of March is “Signal”, to meditate what he’s sayign with this title? We think he’s one of greatest and coolest new names this year concerning harder Electro / Death Metal / House / Acid / Detroit / Chicago / Moscow / Riga / Globe.

We’re simple and short as possible now. We here in TFL HQ had it running since 3 days and really dig this mix of Melbourne Man 1928, we wrote about 3 days ago.

Shir Khan

Berlin Bwoy Dj Shir Khan is a very busy boy.
How busy?
So busy to form the habit just to breath when it’s absolutely necessary!
What is he doing all day?
We heard he’s taming wild horses by day and spending the night cultivating tracks to frenzy.
What is his favorite dish?
Afghan Sabsi Palau.
What is his heart beating for?
Sweaty clubs, Paul McCartney, gambling and tough saber-tooth tigers.
Does he wants us to listen high records!?
Yes he definitely loves the audience to savor following 2 mashups without any qualitative loss.

Mischka

“Old” friends from ex-blog republish blinded our eyes and plugged our ears with two mixes of Star Eyes aka Vivian aka one half of Syrup Girls. You maybe remember that she and her other half Siren pushed a 1000copies limited record together with Berlin Sick Girls called “Shotgun Wedding Vol. 8″.

Multibusiness Grrrl Vivian surprising you and your friends first with 68minutes of diversified entertaining tidbits called Haxor Mix for the clothes-label Mishka. Together with Trouble & Bass they blast an hour around proving that a love for old school Industrial and EBM dance music is not a no-go-area and this mix is celebration of just that.

After you survived this hour of jumping and bouncing through your kitchen in a darker outfit you maybe love to load a second mix, called Strobe, that does not take second place, but feels a little more cushy, easy-going and is better be played in your car stereo while riding to a party where you can stand your man.

Them Jeans

Grab a new blend of the tallest man on earth. He’s so tall I have to step up 8 stairs to be able to give him just a “low 5″. Them Jeans dives into Friday Night with a marginal askew blend of Rihanna’s “Please don’t stop the music” and Fred Falke’s “8:08pm @ The Beach”. Very daring, but djs could find it helpful and the girls adoring the Rihanna track would dig this blend.

Free Blood

Free red vine, free gimmicks, free punches, free hips, free jeans, free ties, free cash, free turboengines, free bodyshaking, free boyshaking, free drinks, free entries, free spaces, free azns, free spare time activities, free sensitivity, free amber rooms, free cellphones, free hugs, free cessnas, free spare ribs, free conversations, free money transfer, free blood and free willy. All what a teen wishes.

Bang On PR compensates us by sharing a soft wicked remix by Adventures Close To Home of a Free Blood-track, coming down from Brooklyn. This one we’d like to share with you this evening (Middle European Standard Time) is hardly gentle and reminds us marching through our child-hood, climbing on rooftops and grazing chewy candy. It’s a tune making us not nodding the head, but moving our shoulders back and forth, until we pressed the “play again” button and start from scratch.

Bounce Boy
Home, Music, Video 28th Mar 2008 // 01:08 pm

You missed a music-video, that beats your brain back into your childhood to remind you of all the superstars and heartthrobs you had?
You get excited of gazing at a low-polygon 3d female swinging their hips more Colombian-Style than Shakira does?!
You fell in love yesterday with Snoopy at the age of 9?
You want to see cartoon characters krumping?
You want to see a Frosties-Tiger-knockoff pop-locking?

It’s the most expensive production I was blessed to see in the last week of March 08. But where the hell is Hashizo? And is there anyone out there donating the creators a magnetic-lariat-tool-update for Adobe Premiere? This is so tough like my stomach after its perforation.

The mail to the clip dropped into our inbox from unknown sender with the words: Hot on the heels of
H ‘two’ O Ft. Platnum this is going to be the sound that is ‘hard2beat’ this summer.
And we got nothing to say against this statement!

Btw: You want us to write more bilingual?
Btw2: Where have all our hypem-fans gone? We’re very worried about you! Are you alive and healthy?
Btw3: Rumors have it that Kavinsky casted half of the actors in the clip for a brandnew supersoft’n sexual Michel Vaillant Remix of the Autodrive.

Thrills breaks everything apart
Home, Music, Remixes, Techno 27th Mar 2008 // 10:58 pm

Thrills

He catched us with his “hello”. In fact it was a “hey”, but that does not belittles our rapture. And what we found by scrolling down made our heart beating with a frequency of a first-class jet flight with all that extra extra you could imagine. From finest french vine to lobster from Newfoundland we did not ordered.

What Thrills served us today is a delicious mixture of blasts that makes us flatten our ears! It’s a downright slaughter of hard groaning stormy bass, rough brassbound beats, few cropped hidden vocals and the despaired attempt of tunes peeking through a crack in this massive brickwall. He seem to have the ambition to let you not rest one second, after you’ve chosen to play his tracks.

We deeply dig this Thrills from Washington and are hardly curious whats coming up from him and his new label Stars At Night together with Axcys. What we already can give away is that you definitely have to watch out in 2K8 for a collaborative track with and a remix of Turboweekend’s fine rime and soon mashup of These Electric Lives “Soda Water” w/ Lips Can Kill.

By listening to this young man I remember my love to the harder electronic stuff on high quality, that is truly hard to find these days. I hope he delivers the food to the folk with constant freshness.

1928

Hu, we got Mail from 80years ago. Melbourne’s Man of the Year 1928 chopped a blast into halves and left his latest mix behind featuring Melbourne band Damn Arms and Japanese narcissist Narctrax, contemporary named “The Not so Progressive Punks”.

We give you 4 mashup from the late 20s of the 20th century, today and pick up a mix you can catch upcoming weekend if you adore what the oldest boy alive is pitching. I still adore the best age-group - numbers changed 1982, but by loading the mashups from 1928 aka Adam Burnell you are going to be pleased with fine cutted and chopped beats, club-capable, that have the power to cure bad moods. Thanks a ton, down under!

This Weeks High 5

Round 14 of our weekly gladiator fights. This time we got The Dance Inc. 1st placed. They set up a new highscore in triple-rope-skipping.

With a formidable performance in Chinese Checkers, Revolver jumped well-earned and in a ZZZ rework on our second place.

number 3 goes to Blaqstarr for 24-hour ground-shaking.

On the second 3rd place are Flux Punx for blowing up a hot-air balloon just with their breaths.

And last not least we got Mister Busy P on a great 3rd third place. He get’s remixed by DJ Cut’n Run and still turns on his own axis.
