Lucky blinking in the inbox this lunch. It took 1 month busy appearing M.A.N.D.Y. finally completed the petite interview. On the verge of the US-release of Fabric 38 in 6 days you can sniff a little on M.A.N.D.Y., grab 1 workover of Matthew Dear and 2 tracks, that appear on the 38.

TFL: Which New Year’s pledges will be broken this year?!
M.A.N.D.Y.: None as we don’t even try to do the pledges. We are healthy, responsible, well behaved guys…

TFL: When and why you started making music? And what do you do when you don’t make tunes?
M.A.N.D.Y.: Around 1993. Just loved the music and we just played around and tried to put down our impressions from the weekend into the studio. We have a label to run and that’s totally enough. And sometimes see some friends too. Very important from time to time.

TFL: Your hottest Party ever? Where and why?
M.A.N.D.Y.: Maybe at a beach in playa Del Carmen in Mexico 2 years ago. With dj t, Heidi and us. Loads of our friends around and a beautiful day and night. Good sound, good drinks, the perfect pace, very nice after party etc etc.

TFL: Your intention while mixing the Fabric 38? Any fundamental ideas that maintained to the end?
M.A.N.D.Y.: Of course we wanted to bring the pure club energy that we have in this club on the cd. But it’s just so different when you are in your little dj room all by yourself. The tracks work completely differently. So tried at lease 100 different records and the ones we could listen and loved at the end that on there.

TFL: The differences in DJing in London and Berlin?
M.A.N.D.Y.: Not much nowadays i guess. With public life and t- bar and so on you guys have a big after party culture too…

TFL: You seem to be on tour for a while, what are we going to expect, when you got tired of it?!
M.A.N.D.Y.: So far it’s still going alright. Of course there are moments where you are completely exhausted and tired, but generally spoken we still are enthusiastic about it. Right now we are in Iceland and trying to do some music. So with the right breaks in between you can survive in this job.
