Burial, The Ear-catcher

Burial

“Burial is from the UK. That’s about all we know of him (or her - Burial keeps the focus squarely on the music by staying safely behind the curtain). The music is the perfect soundtrack for the cold winter days ahead; a distant and alien sounding collection of R&B vocal samples, emaciated beats and keyboards, and scratchy blips and bleeps. It’s so stripped down it sounds like it’s coming from some kind of other haunted dimension. It’s hypnotic and it’s not letting me listen to anything else.”
(quoted from Pop Headwound)

“A hauntingly beautiful remix (just listen to that piano loop in the background or the crackle of the radio) with a distinctive beat that’s been on constant rotation all day here at the Discobelle HQ, this is the soundtrack to desolate and lonely nights in the city.”
(quoted from Discobelle)

Me, in personal, never made friends with Dubstep. But Burial’s remix of Bloc Party’s “Where is home?” is the most mysteric i’ve heard for a long time, or maybe ever heard. It’s appearing so gentle like a newborn, running the risk being played in repeat mode. You deeply got to force yourself not to listen it till comatose. It’s not Bloc Party, anymore. It’s a new world.

Fetch some tunes of Burial’s new album “Untrue” to get your own opinion and the golden mash up.

[…] Burial steht in den Startlöchern mit seinem zweiten Album ‘Untrue’. Kann ich nur empfehlen. Beim schnellen Leben gibt’s Hörbeispiele. […]
