Da unser geliebtes Vice Magazine ja schon immer Weltmeister im Arschtreten von Political Correctness war, freut es uns, dass sie weiterhin die Weltherrschaft anstreben und nach Vice Records nun auch ins Internet Fernsehen einsteigen. VBS TV heisst das dann und rettet Euch vor der totalen Verblödung durch “The Fabulous Life Of.. ” und Co. Natürlich lassen sich auch alte Bekannte wie Do`s and Dont`s blicken. Dazu gibts eine Auswahl an Inteviews, Dokumentationen und natürlich Musik… Rescuing you from television`s deathlike grip…

…and i am 15, again!

Eine meiner ersten HipHop Erfahrungen war wohl in den späten 80er Jahren. Da ist BeatStreet nämlich im Partykeller meines Plattenbaus angekommen. Doch weil Gucci.Boy damals sicher noch Germina Schuhgröße 20 getragen hat und noch nicht mal zweistelligen Alters war, wurde er zu diesem kleinen Jam leider nicht eingeladen. Die Überbleibsel dieser Nacht konnte ich daher erst in den frühen 90ern lesen, als mir mein Schulenglisch dabei half, die verschiedensten Kreidetags und Throw Ups an der Wand meines Kellers zu entziffern. NewYorkCity stand da nun, Breakdance und RockSteady. Aber weil meine Beweismittel für die Existenz einer DDR HipHop Kultur wahrscheinlich nicht sehr glaubwürdig sind, bringt Nico Raschick nun das dazugehörige Filmmaterial ins Kino. Dabei bebildert er in Here We Come die Entwicklung der DDR Breakdance Szene, welche es tatsächlich schaffte, als artistische Tanzform von der Staatsführung anerkannt zu werden. Nicht nur für alle B-Boys eine unglaubliche OldSchool Reise! Thx Jolie!

My allover-around-Bonn-Berlin-Stralsund-Jetset-Sidekick Alex is hanging with me, having a recitation about “Space Pioneers“. It’s a glistening mix of (why) upgrading the virtuell room, that implies trying to upgrade outdoor’s life in certain areas and sense of blogging. It’s like a lovely biography of almost only 8months-old-FastLife-Baby, the team, our repertoire and futuristic megalomaniac aims. My part is sitting here as beautiful as i can & philosophize about being busy.

heute, donnerstag; die hochschule für grafik und buchkunst leipzig eröffnet den alljährlichen rundgang. start um 18:00 h geht es bis sonntag 17:00 h.
öffnungszeiten sind täglich 11 bis 22 uhr. neben zahlreichen bars und floors werden tatsächlich auch zwischenstände aus den bereichen malerei/ grafik, grafik/ illustration, medienkunst und photography präsentiert. highlights sind außer den üblichen verdächtigen die zusammenarbeit der freien klasse mit spreadshirt.

zusätzlich schießen mehrere begleitparties magic mushroom alike aus dem artistischen humus:
freitag foshclekk release party aus dem ronk-umfeld in der zschocherschen straße;
samstag ist die bar im spinnereigelände geöffnet und wird von carina posse beehrt; zeitgleich hat über dem noch besser leben in der karl-heine-straße die softcore-störpraxis zum dritten mal sprechstunde.
wenn noch kondition vorhanden gehts zu daniel stefanik und marc schneider in die tille.

Der Öffentliche Raum ist eine Lüge. Naja, jedenfalls ist er gar nicht so öffentlich, wie er immer tut. So ist dieser Raum ja eher privat, und kommerziell, und manchen auch ein bisschen zu dunkel. Dass die Dunkelheit dem Medium Licht eine ganz gute Plattform bietet, ist dabei für die neue Jenaer Ausstellung Wackelkontakt eher von Vorteil. So intervenieren noch bis zum 18.Februar die Weimarer Bauhaus Studenten die Stadt und setzen den zu eröffnenden Raum unter Strom. Und da dieser ganz gut in Licht ausgedrückt werden kann, gibt es in den nächsten zwei Wochen verschiedenste Lichtprojekte in der Jenaer Innenstadt. Dazu finden zwei Ausstellungen in der Jenoptik Galerie und im Jenaer Kunstverein statt, welche sich mit dem Thema beschäftigen.
