Verschiedene Naturschutz-Organisationen senden eine Aufforderung an alle Bewohner unseres Planeten, die 5 “Schweigeminuten”: jeder soll Licht, Strom und sonstiges ausschalten, zwischen 19h55 und 20h00. Fünf Minuten, nicht nur um Energie zu sparen, sondern besonders, um die Bevölkerung, die Medien und Politiker auf die tägliche Energieverschwendung aufmerksam zu machen. Ein Akt, der nur 5 Minuten dauert, der nichts kostet, der aber der Regierung zeigt, dass die Klimakatastrophe ein schwerwiegendes Thema der Weltpolitik sein sollte. Warum dieses Datum? : Am ersten Februar veröffentlicht die UNO die neuesten Erkenntnisse zum Thema Klimawechsel! ALSO……DREHEN SIE AB!!!!!

Momentan stellt das KW Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin 137 Künstlerpositionen aus den letzten 40 Jahren zur Schau, in denen das Thema Körperlichkeit verschieden reflektiert wird. Into Me Out Of Me heißt die Ausstellung und behandelt in fünf Etagen das Eindringen in und das Austreten aus dem menschlichen Körper - ist dabei gesellschaftskritisch, religiös, geil, plump und fantastisch.

Abscheu und Verlangen sind erste Gefühle, die sich festsetzten, wie Dreck unter den Fingernägeln – man will wegschauen und ist doch so gefesselt von den scheinbar unerschöpflichen Werken. Ist da zum Beispiel die Filmsequenz von Valie Export, die sich ihre Fingerkuppen mit einem Cuttermesser bearbeitet bis sie bluten – um sich dann die Hände in Milch zu waschen. Oder der Film von Patty Chang die ihre Eltern von Mund zu Mund füttert, oder die Pornodarstellungen mit Kriegsszenen gemischt von Thomas Hirschhorn, oder …

P.s. Sitz ich jetzt hier mit Gänsehaut und nem Lächeln auf den Lippen und sprech’ eine Empfehlung aus: noch bis zum 4. März INTO ME OUT OF ME besuchen.

Fonts sind so selbstverständlich! Kaum einer macht sich eigentlich Gedanken um die verschiedenen Schriftarten und deren Wirkung. Bei Grafikern ist das anders. Die sitzen nämlich täglich vor ihrer Arbeit und finden Arial, Times oder Helvetica sogar richtig zum kotzen. Naja, nicht wirklich,- eher abgenutzt und mainstream vielleicht. So sind sie ständig auf der Suche nach neuen Typos, um die Welt da draußen, passend zum jeweiligen Thema zu be”schreiben”.  Und dabei hilft ihnen der Berliner Fontshop, welcher quasi als Konsum für Schriften fungiert. DIE 100 BESTEN SCHRIFTEN wurden nun von diesem Konsum in einem Magazin veröffentlicht, welches auch als PDF zu haben ist. Hier gibt es dann einen Haufen Infos zur Entstehung der einzelnen Fonts und deren Erfindern, sowie einen guten Überblick über das Who is Who? des Font-Universums…

What up Grime? Many people talked about the development of the scene in the last time. Many people talked. People talk. Now Wiley talks and things get more serious. What he`s telling is that sad to hear. He retires from the game and wants the youngers fly the flag. Maybe Grime should take the chance to move on and take it to another level. The music kinda needs it. Check out Wiley talking to DJ Cameo on 1XTRA (after 1h10m) about his retirement and his thoughts, get your update at RWD Mag and the Berlinians Grimetime and Voco-Me.

Leipzig sollte an Ost-Berlin angegliedert werden! Graffitimäßig jedenfalls. So kann Leipzig sein Klein Berlin Image ausleben und die Berliner hätten eine neue Spielwiese und müssten nicht mehr nur 5 Meter Leitern hochkraxeln, um noch Stellen zu machen. Vielleicht dann nur noch 2 Meter Leitern, denn L.E. hat nach der Hauptstadt bekanntlich eine der aktivsten und vielstyligsten Szenen im Land. Einmal die Woche präsentiert sie sich auf den hauseigenen Seiten Farbsucht und Desynz. Da Digital aber nicht alles ist, wird es höchste Eisenbahn, dass man auch ans Printmedium denkt & sozusagen eine BestOf L.E. Ausgabe raushaut. Diese heißt Achtung Leipzig und wird mit großem TamTam am 27.01. im Bounce 87 veröffentlicht.

Mit einer ganzen Schubkarre voller Respekt vor den gnadenlosen Weiten des Internets kommt hier und jetzt und heute und morgen und überhaupt die erste Ausgabe von The Fast Life FM. Viel Spass….

Theoretisch betrachtet ist You Thought We Wouldn`t notice wohl sowas wie ein Watchblog. Ganz im Stil von Bildblog.de werden hier zwar nicht die Medien überwacht, sondern die Kreativität der Weltgestalter. Und da diese ja bekanntlich schon mal ne kurze Auszeit nehmen kann, gibt es genügend Beispiele für Ideenklau aller Art. Die Täter werden dann natürlich auch sofort am virtuellen Komments-Schaffot geköpft, alle Adobe Produkte von deren Festplatte gelöscht und gnadenlos in die Investmentbranche abgeschoben. Sehr amüsant!

My friend Döle of HGB Leipzig called me up and told me about this clip he was working at for the Jena based Newcomers Stromer and Miro. I first heard about them last summer when they won the chance to perform live at the infamous SonneMond&Sterne Festival. SoSo the clip shows them getting ready for the Gig and the OnStage Experience. If you dont know these guys by now, check out their page where you can download some songs. It`s not my style but in a way kinda good klicking pop music…
