Now it’s 2weeks ago, windows finished their development work on Windows Vista for business clients. You’re private and you’re computing at home, you can count on slipping into Vista soonest on January’07. Advantages you can check on wikipedia, the price is 549,- for “best” vista-version.
I’m rich, i did beta-testing, just for you, if you’re not interested, please don’t read on.
We tested 2release-candidates, that should’ve been taken, if error-free. That many applications had that hard problems with new windows, especially older programmes, they already aborted while installing. Almost every virus-scanner stepped into beef with it. But implying you’re an owner of high main storage and a delicious graphic-card you will be rewarded with a user-friendliness with 9pts of 10. In course of time release-candidate #1 was improved. E.g. Office 2007 Beta started working, we fell into jubilation. Another (Dis-)Advantage of Vista is it got no volume-licences, as e.g. XP got. That signifies no one is that soft able to install Vista on his private primary and secondary PC.
Our recommendation is, if you absolutly need and want to have Vista you better upgrade your XP Professional to Vista Professional. Or you take the Basic Version, it’s just about 159,-
pays
